FOXTEL IMPLEMENTS DUBSAT SYNDICATE - CLOUD-BASED TVC MANAGEMENT SERVICES

22nd November 2011

SYDNEY, 22 November 2011: Dubsat today announced that it has fully implemented Dubsat Syndicate, its new broadcast media management software application, into FOXTEL's day-to-day TVC workflow. Syndicate enables FOXTEL to streamline its traditional, complex workflow requirements with media agencies MCN and Ignite Media Brands and take advantage of their modern broadcast environment.

Dubsat Syndicate is a new, fully integrated, cloud-based service, which automates and streamlines advertiser, media agency and broadcaster workflows, approvals and delivery of TVCs. This removes the need for any manual intervention or re-keying of data and improves business-to-business communication.

Grant Schuetrumpf, Dubsat CEO, said, "FOXTEL came to us with the challenge of developing and implementing an accessible way to handle TVC file transfers that would simultaneously involve their media agencies and broadcast channels. We met that challenge with Dubsat Syndicate, a new cloud-based service that encompasses airtime management confirmations with file-based material delivery through syndication. Essentially, this allows for TVCs to be spilt and made accessible to their respective media agencies and broadcast channels much earlier in the delivery process leading to better management and TVC fulfillment."

Dubsat Syndicate was developed in close collaboration with FOXTEL, MCN and Ignite Media Brands, who each contributed hands-on situations and experiences to ensure Dubsat Syndicate met each of the businesses requirements in the TVC booking confirmation and delivery workflow.

Adam Larter, Dubsat CTO, said, "Dubsat Syndicate now allows media agencies to access and manage their own material, whilst maintaining privacy and end-to-end data integrity. From a user perspective, Dubsat Syndicate is a fully customised, easy-to-install software application for the desktop synchronised with Dubsat's cloud services. It incorporates full-screen proxy replay and storyboarding of each TVC and allows for the allocation of internal house numbers to be made available across all channel partners, automating a previously manual process. In saying this, Dubsat Syndicate is customisable for any broadcaster's specific situation needing to provide access to their media agency before each TVC on-air date."

Schuetrumpf concluded: "Dubsat Syndicate is a key component of Dubsat's Digital Media Platform strategy, which is focused on continual R&D to deliver innovative, digital workflow tools and solutions for media agencies, advertising agencies, production companies, broadcasters and publishers who need to access and manage advertising and entertainment content."

Other key features of Dubsat Syndicate include:
  • In-built workflow checks and balances, ensuring a high level of security when accessed by multiple stakeholders
  • Push and pull delivery models, catering for the specific requirements of a diverse range of media receive sites
  • High-speed turnaround to meet tight airtime deadlines
  • High quality transcoding, dynamically, in any format, tailored to the specifications of the broadcasters
  • Fully automated file-based hand-off provides a controlled process and removes the necessity for manual intervention

DUBSAT LAUNCHES NEW ADSEND 7.5 IN AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

11th October 2011

SYDNEY, 11 October 2011: Dubsat today announced the launch of Adsend 7.5 the new, more powerful version of its advanced print advertising validation, delivery and workflow platform for the Australian and New Zealand markets following its release in the UK, USA and South Africa.

Adsend 7.5 offers many new key features that together serve to strengthen its position as the most advanced newspaper and magazine print advertising solution available.

New features include an optional commercial press colour conversion using ICC colour profiles, a unique publisher-branded online portal capability and seamless booking exchange integration which automatically reconciles advertising with booking instructions, so agencies don't have to rekey booking details and publishers don't have to chase advertising material.

Grant Schuetrumpf, Dubsat CEO said, "Adsend 7.5 further extends its capability from preflight to delivery and now to workflow. We provide the ability to loop advertising booking job ticket instructions from publisher to media agency to creative agency and back to the publisher, creating what we believe is the first fully automated multi-business workflow for the fulfilment of display advertising material."

The powerful new Adsend platform comprises a robust toolset that streamlines, integrates and automates advertising production delivery workflows, providing significant cost savings and production efficiencies regardless of the type or size of business.

Dubsat also announced even more destinations to Adsend's current 20,000+ publications by integrating with AdFast, the UK Newspaper Society's delivery service of over 1,700 UK regional newspapers.

Far more than a simple advertising delivery service, Adsend 7.5 is a complete pre-flighting, workflow and managed delivery cloud-based platform that streamlines the entire process of digital ad exchange with magazines and newspapers across the world. Adsend 7.5 transparently integrates with a company's existing production systems while presenting comprehensive management, tracking and auditing functionality. The result is an all-encompassing, enterprise-class advertising management solution.

This latest version of Adsend also demonstrates Dubsat's commitment towards delivering advertisements to more than just printed publications.

Schuetrumpf added: "Adsend 7.5 now not only supports PDF as a delivery file format but any format required to publish advertising, enabling our listed newspaper and magazine publishers to set-up and receive advertising specifically for their websites and portable device media strategies".

Adsend 7.5 is live and available for use now in Australia at www.adsend.com.au and in New Zealand at www.adsend.org.nz

Adsend 7.5 was also launched today in the UK, USA and South Africa.

DUBSAT LAUNCHES CAPTIONFLOW: WORLD FIRST ONLINE TVC CAPTIONING SERVICE

15th Jun 2011

SYDNEY, 19 May 2011: Global cross-media asset management and content distribution company Dubsat today announced that it has launched its world first online TVC captioning service, Captionflow, delivering a completely automated way for agencies and advertisers to reach an additional audience of over 3.25 million deaf and hearing impaired in Australia and over 250,000 in New Zealand.

Dubsat Global CEO, Grant Schuetrumpf said, "By integrating Captionflow into the Dubsat workflow TVCs can be captioned and delivered in as little as an hour. The entire captioning process is automated and streamlined with online captioning preview, acceptance and insertion for delivery to the broadcasters, as well as one simple online invoice for captioning. It really couldn't be any easier or more convenient."

As time is often of the essence in today's fast moving TVC environment, Captionflow is linked with Dubsat's highly acclaimed MediaPro to quickly and efficiently facilitate the conversion of material to accommodate STL caption files.

Linda Baker, The SubStation General Manager added, "When a client logs in online via mydubsat to book their TVC delivery, they simply select the 'Caption via The SubStation' option and an instruction is generated and sent to The SubStation. We then immediately caption and quality-assure the insertion of the caption file into the TVC, ready for broadcast approval and delivery with a confirmation also sent to the client."

Alex Varley, CEO of Media Access Australia said, "This service is a great example of how the captioning industry is maturing and developing. Processes that were considered specialist and difficult a few years ago are now being mainstreamed and made the norm. The smart companies always got ahead of the competition by putting captions on their TVCs and Captionflow is a brilliant innovation that makes the decision to caption even easier and faster."

Schuetrumpf concluded, "There is no longer a need to caption using traditional tape-based methods. Captionflow is simple, easy to use and above all else the client now feels more in control. It is also very much in keeping with the Dubsat ethos of providing our users with increased efficiencies through innovation and convenience."

Captionflow, Dubsat's world first online captioning service is live and available to all Dubsat users now.

DUBSAT ACQUIRES VIO WORLDWIDE
Extending Omnilab Media's global media reach into the USA and Europe

14th Sep 2010

Dubsat, Omnilab Media's Australian-based cross media asset management and distributed advertising and entertainment content company, today announced the acquisition of London headquartered Vio Worldwide.

The partnership further enables IMD and Dubsat clients to access the extensive local traffic knowledge, expertise and advice available within both companies, which is crucial to managing global campaigns efficiently.

Simon Cox CEO of IMD says 'IMD and Dubsat have worked together for a number of years on a variety of projects and there has always been a strikingly similar commitment to innovation combined with the highest quality customer service. As a result both companies saw the opportunity to take the existing relationship to the next level and in the process enable our clients in their own local market to access the full range of IMD and Dubsat services globally."

Grant Schuetrumpf CEO of Dubsat said, "Dubsat's partnership with IMD immediately furthers the global destination reach for all of our clients. Advertising agencies can now conveniently and efficiently manage their international distribution needs using a local point of contact. By integrating our workflows and service capability with IMD we are providing a true global media exchange network that considerably expands our international destination reach. This also reaffirms our commitment to developing innovative solutions that are relevant in any country. It is also very much in keeping with the Dubsat vision of providing advertising and entertainment technologies that are the most convenient and efficient in the market place today."

IMD and Dubsat are both long established market leaders in the distribution of radio, TV commercials and music video's as well as providing many ancillary services such as closed captioning and copy clearance. Christopher Mapp, Managing Director of Dubsat's parent company Omnilab Media said, "Omnilab Media continues to fully support Dubsat's initiatives to extend its capabilities in overseas markets. This kind of partnership fits perfectly within Omnilab Media's global strategy as we continue to expand our international presence."

The partnership of IMD and Dubsat provides a Global Media Network and TVC Delivery Service, which is now able to digitally deliver TVCs and radio advertising to broadcasters across 90 countries. IMD and Dubsat's Global Media Network enables the secure management and speedy movement of cross media advertising assets and other media assets throughout the world.

Dubsat launches My Media online TVC asset repurposing solution and the new mydubsat version 9.0 web portal

29th Jul 2010

Access, repurpose, and share TVCs in any video format anytime from any desktop

Sydney, 29 July 2010 - Following on from their hugely popular MediaPro desktop application, distributed advertising and media asset management company Dubsat, today announced the launch of My Media, a revolutionary new online service that uniquely repurposes TVCs and mydubsat version 9.0 the latest version of its online portal.

Grant Schuetrumpf, General Manager of Dubsat explained, "My Media and mydubsat version 9.0 are available and live now. My Media is another first in the market for this level of desktop functionality and is all about efficiency, speed, accuracy and quality. By utilising the My Media services in our web portal, mydubsat version 9.0, users can immediately access their TVCs and now repurpose and retrieve versions in any video format for DVD, podcasting, online and mobile on their desktop with the simple click of a mouse."

My Media is part of the new mydubsat version 9.0 and extends Dubsat's online tool palette giving users the power to search for their TVCs, play TVCs back within their browser at full screen, create JPEG storyboards, see extended media booking information and destinations relating to the TVC and add comments and messages which can be shared securely with their clients.

Schuetrumpf continued, "My Media is a convenient service within our cloud computing offering, allowing users to request and process file conversions offline, freeing up the desktop to do other tasks simultaneously."

My Media repurposes a new file format from the user's secure online library 24x7 from any desktop using 'real-time processing' so the user can see the progress as it happens. By accessing a simple menu in mydubsat 9.0 the user simply chooses their required file types and is given a cost estimate to accept. Once accepted the order is then fulfilled in real time.

One of the particularly popular features now made possible by My Media is the option to repurpose assets and make them accessible in Apple iTunes®. In this instance, once the TVC has gone through the simple repurposing process, My Media launches iTunes® and a TVC version of the asset is automatically downloaded ready to be played.

Schuetrumpf added, "This is a very convenient feature because most people have iTunes® as part of their desktop suite of applications. Users can also subscribe to an RSS feed and share the podcast with their clients by simply providing them with the subscription URL and a unique user name and password. This is another good example of how Dubsat is giving more power and functionality to its users and their clients via their own desktops."

My Media and mydubsat 9.0 are the result of many months R&D and a significant amount of research and planning.

Schuetrumpf concluded, "Our aim with My Media was that it be powerful, versatile and efficient for all users. We have achieved this by making it more convenient than ever to manage TVCs and their history on one screen with all relevant information and data instantly available. My Media is a real step forward and brings even greater efficiency and convenience to the desktop. There is also a lesser need for dedicated hardware and proprietary servers to be purchased. The real efficiency of MediaPro and My Media is that they are convenient, online, cloud computing services immediately accessible by any desktop computer with Internet access. Dubsat is committed to providing all of our solutions in this way and on following the Software as a Service model."

The My Media TVC asset repurposing service is now available via mydubsat version 9.0 at www.dubsat.com.au
